Mad Lab

This is my entry for the Azure Lux Game Jam :)

Controls:

A/D: Move left and right

W/S (while near ladder): Move up and down

Space: Jump

E: Interact (At the large vats up top to fill smaller vats at bottom, or to pick up a vial from the vial table, or to fill a vial at one of the bottom vats, or to drink from a filled vial)

F: Throw filled vial

E to interact

(Some of these things are broken at the moment)

Not a lot of gameplay at the moment...

Unfortunately I couldn't get everything working in time to implement what I actually wanted to, but the original idea for the game was a 4-player online game where you play as genetically modified monkeys, competing against each other for survival by controlling the lab and created chemical reactions beneficial to yourself, to the detriment of your enemies.

Since I couldn't get the networking stuff completely working, shortly before the deadline I ended up going a different route with how the game worked to make it playable by a single person. I wasn't quite able to finish that in time, so the game isn't really 'fun' or even playable yet really, and has plenty of bugs.

I intend to go back to the original idea now that the jam is over and polish the game, fix bugs, do actual artwork, etc.
